- You Didn’t Build That,’ Uncut and Unedited – FactCheck.org — There’s no question Obama inartfully phrased those two sentences, but it’s clear from the context what the president was talking about. He spoke of government — including government-funded education, infrastructure and research — assisting businesses to make what he called “this unbelievable American system that we have.”
- Obama regrets you-didn’t-build-that ‘syntax’– “Obviously, I have regrets for my syntax,” Obama replied. “But not for the point, because everyone who was there watching knows exactly what I was saying…. “We are absolutely better off than we were when I was sworn in and we were losing 800,000 jobs in a month,” Obama said.
